PTI Sindh leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi once again admitted inflation. In his statement, Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that he admits that his government has failed to control inflation.
It may be recalled that inflation has reached its peak in the PTI government while the prices of essential commodities have not come down despite several claims by the Prime Minister.
In the last few days, 800 days of PTI government have come to an end. However, the prices of essential commodities for the people have continued to rise.
According to a document submitted by the Bureau of Statistics, based on the average price of 17 major cities of the country, during the 800 days of the government, the average price of sugar went up by Rs 45.88 per kg.
In August 2018, the average price of sugar was Rs 55.59 per kg, which has now risen to Rs 101.47 per kg, while the price of sugar had reached Rs 103 per kg.
According to the document, during the tenure of the present government, the average inflation reached the highest level in 8 years.
