The highest increase in certified cases was seen in Azad Jammu and Kashmir where it was 16.71 per cent, followed by Balochistan at 8.71 per cent, Sindh at 5.39 per cent, Punjab at 4.46 per cent and Gilgit-Baltistan at 3.24 per cent. Cases in Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa decreased by 4.92% to 4.61% respectively.

Earlier on October 29, Federal Minister for Development and Planning Asad Omar had said in a tweet that after 70 days, the positive rate of Code 19 in the country had risen to more than 3%.

It is to be noted that Pakistan had the highest positive rate in June and it had reached 23% as compared to 6% in May, however, the positive rate had come down to 1.7% in September.

According to the presentation given to the NCOC, the positive rate was 11.79 per cent on March 30, which was 19.95 per cent on May 25 and 22.24 per cent on June 1, after which the downward trend started and on July 6 it was 16 per cent. Percentage, on August 10 it was 3% and on September 21 it was 1.7%.

However, the following month saw a positive upward trend again, reaching 2.49 per cent on October 19, 4.26 per cent on November 2 and 5.13 per cent on November 10.

The NCOC was informed that the death toll in Pakistan has exceeded 7,000.

At the same time, it was reported that less than 10 deaths were reported in the country in 24 hours till April 6, which was 124 on June 15. At the same time, it was reported that there were 3,173 ventilators in the country, of which 1,245 were for COD 19 patients and 1,546 were for other patients, but they were only for emergency patients. As of Tuesday, 160 (13%) of the allotted ventilators were in use.
