Riyadh: The Saudi government has taken stern action against those who do illegal business, the Food Authority staff have arrested those who make substandard make-up. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has confiscated 1.3 million boxes of substandard make-up and sealed six warehouses. According to the Saudi news agency, the SFDA said that the investigation teams have raided several warehouses.
Numerous violations were recorded during the campaign, the most important of which was that these warehouses were operating without a license. The second major violation recorded was that the make-up was stored in a very unsuitable environment and in an illegal manner. The third major violation was noted that packing and usage dates were also altered.
The fourth violation revealed that many make-up items that were not registered with the SFDA were also stored here, and legal action is being taken against the violating warehouses. The SFDA has asked consumers to call 19999 at the earliest opportunity to report any illegal activity.
