Uttar Pradesh, jealousy of brother-in-law, brutal murder of 2-year-old nephew by Mamani

In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Mamani killed his 2-year-old nephew in retaliation for his sister-in-law.

According to Indian media reports, the two women from Uttar Pradesh were arrested by the police on charges of murdering a child and confessed to the crime during interrogation.

The women told the police investigation team that they had problems with their sister-in-law because they did not have any children, but killed their nephew out of jealousy.

The family reported the child's disappearance to the local police station September 29, according to the report. After which the police started searching and found the body of the child in the cupboard of the house.

According to police, the women strangled the child and then wrapped the body in a blanket and put it in a box, after which it was hidden in a cupboard. Doctors confirmed the child's death, saying he died of suffocation.

Police officials said that the mother had told us that the last time the child went to her mamani, she had been missing since then. "When we started questioning her, she panicked and then confessed to the murder."

Police also arrested another woman on the identification of the accused who assisted in the murder. The other accused was also the mother of the slain child.
