Two Turkish children won first prize in an international math competition.
Alper Italy and Rozgar Ozturk, both from TED College in Edirne, northwestern Turkey, won first prize at their respective levels in the online Caribbean math competition.
According to the college statement, both children participated in online competitions in English and French.
According to the organizers of the competition, the Caribbean Maths Competition is a global online competition that is held six times at different levels during the academic year. About 300 schools from 30 countries participate in the competition.
Employment was in the top two percent worldwide, while Alper was in the top six percent.
