Talking on a private channel program, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that the Sindh government had accused the IG of kidnapping, adding that Sindh Chief Minister and Bilawal Bhutto should deny the allegation. He said that Sindh government was involved in the arrest of Captain Safdar. In court, the Sindh government opposed Captain Safdar's bail. He said that the federal government is not taking the islands to Islamabad, 1.5 million people will get jobs from the islands, Sindh needs revenue. Karachi package is no joke, 62% share in Karachi package belongs to the federation, K4 project has been handed over to WAPDA.
