The FBI has arrested 13 people in connection with a plot to assassinate Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
According to media reports, all of them belong to a right-wing white racist organization that was identified in racist discussions on social media.
The FBI has since begun tracking down individuals who have been plotting to assassinate anti-Trump politicians ahead of the November 3 US presidential election. 6 people were arrested in the first operation and 7 in the second operation.
It should be noted that Whitmer belongs to the Democratic Party and she often criticizes President Trump. Following the failure of the kidnapping plot, Governor Whitmer, in a statement, once again sharply criticized Donald Trump, saying he was engaged in fanning the flames of white racism in the United States.
