The mayor of Islamabad, who belongs to PML-N, has resigned

 

Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz has resigned from his post. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad has confirmed the resignation of the mayor of Islamabad. It may be recalled that the federal government had suspended the mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar belonging to PML-N in June this year, on which he challenged the decision of the government in court and the court suspended his suspension order.
