The government made gas more expensive as winter approached

 

The government has increased the price of gas for CNG, industry and export sector. A notification has also been issued by OGRA.

According to the details, gas for CNG sector is Rs 88 per mmbtu, gas for general industry is Rs 33 per mmbtu, gas for CNG region one is Rs 88 per mmbtu, region CNG for two has been increased to Rs 67 per mmbtu.

Gas has been hiked to Rs 66 per mmbtu for export sector, Rs 33 per mmbtu for export to general industry and Rs 66 per mmbtu for export to captive power. In addition, the minimum gas charges for power stations have been increased by Rs 518 per mmbtu, gas for IPPs has also been increased by Rs 33 per mmbtu, but for domestic consumers. The current price will remain the same. OGRA has issued notification of increase in gas prices.
