A suicide bomber has killed at least 18 people and injured 57 others near an education center in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
According to the French news agency, "the extremist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on Saturday afternoon."
Despite ongoing talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban to bring peace to Afghanistan and end the war, violence has increased in recent weeks.
A spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry said the bomber "tried to enter the training center but was identified by bodyguards, who then blew himself up in the street."
The British news agency Reuters has published a statement of a Taliban spokesman in which he has expressed dissatisfaction with the blast.
A spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Health, Saeed Jami, said in a statement that 13 bodies and 30 injured people had been taken to hospital by ambulance after the suicide attack.
