During the ceremony, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar presented 'Shaan Pakistan' award to singer Ali Zafar for his philanthropy during Code-19.
It may be recalled that during the lockdown in the country, the Ali Zafar Foundation provided rations and financial assistance to about 11,000 families, including musicians, transgender people and minorities.
It may be recalled that after the spread of Corona virus in the country in March, Ali Zafar had also released the song 'Ko Korona' to raise awareness through music.
Ali Zafar replaced the previously popular song 'Ko Ko Korona' with the song 'Ko Ko Korona', the video of which was shared on the social networking site Twitter.
However, the song was criticized by consumers.
It may be recalled here that Prime Minister Imran Khan had recently appointed Ali Zafar as the Ambassador of Namal Knowledge City.
Earlier in August, the President announced the Civil Awards, which included Ali Zafar's name.
However, due to allegations of sexual harassment leveled against Ali Zafar by singer Mesha Shafi in 2018, some social media users criticized him for giving him a civil award and appointing him as the ambassador of Namal Knowledge City.
