If you can fly a plane on a 19-hour non-stop flight, Singapore Airlines will soon make it a reality.
The airline will fly the world's longest flight from Singapore to New York next month.
The flight will cover 8287 nautical miles on this route from Singapore's Chiang Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport.
Earlier, the world's longest flight was held by Singapore Airlines, which travels from Singapore to Newark near New Jersey, with a distance of 8285 nautical miles.
Prior to Singapore Airlines, the award was held by Qatar Airways, which operates a 9,000-mile non-stop flight from Doha to Auckland, New Zealand.
The flight was launched in 2018 for which the Airbus A350-900 URL was used, while for best performance only business class and premium economy seats are provided in these aircraft.
But from Singapore to New York, Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft will be used, with 42 business class, 24 premium and 187 economy seats.
The flight will last 18 hours and 40 minutes and will have three flights a week starting November 9.
An experimental flight from the Australian company Qantas flew 11,000 miles last year but could not get the status of a commercial flight without any passengers on board.
