The aviation sector has been hit hard by the Corona virus outbreak, as travel restrictions have led to the cancellation of countless flights around the world.
But the effect of the virus on air travel has also set a new world record that no one could have imagined before.
This is the record for the longest passenger plane flight in the world, which the company had no intention of flying.
On March 14, the plane took off daily from the French Polynesian island of Tahiti and landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, covering a distance of 9,765 miles from Belarus.
And the real reason for this longest flight record was the travel restrictions imposed by the United States as a result of the corona virus.
Planes flying on this route usually stop at Los Angeles Airport for a while, but all passengers have to disembark and go to U.S. Customs, after which the plane is allowed to proceed. Goes
But as a result of recent travel restrictions, the plane took off non-stop, departing from Tahiti at 3 a.m. local time and landing at 6:30 a.m. Paris time on March 15.
An Air Tahiti spokesman told CNN that the flight had to operate abnormally as a result of US sanctions.
The flight lasted 16 hours and thus set a record for the longest commercial flight.
The record was previously held by Singapore Airlines, which flies 9,534 miles between Singapore and the United States.
An experimental flight from the Australian company Qantas flew 11,000 miles last year but could not get the status of a commercial flight without any passengers on board.
According to Air Tahiti, the plane had four pilots and was the next generation Boeing 787-9 twin-engine Dreamliner.
The plane was overcrowded, which helped it to travel without refueling.
