On the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, action was taken to reduce the availability of goods and inflation, 475 tonnes of sugar and 30,000 kg of ghee were confiscated. The Prime Minister directed to arrest the owners of the warehouses.
According to a private channel, the administration is taking action against hoarders in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan to reduce the availability of goods and inflation. According to details, 475 tonnes of sugar and 30,000 kg of ghee were recovered during an operation in Vehari, which was confiscated and legal action was initiated. Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a review meeting on inflation and availability of essential commodities, in which strategies for reducing inflation and availability of goods were discussed. Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed that the administration conducted 27,000 raids in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in one week, in which 818 cases were registered against hoarders. Prime Minister Imran Khan was informed that 196 convenience bazaars would be started in Punjab in a few days, out of which 31 convenience bazaars would be opened in Lahore. Never be annoyed.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the rising prices in the country and has also ordered stern action against hoarders to curb the causes of rising inflation.
