Pakistan Association Dubai inaugurated the first non-profit project of GCC countries "Pakistan Medical Center". The project, which started on August 14, 2016, was opened on August 14 with day and night efforts, but the provision of medical facilities from the medical center has recently started. The cornerstone of this project was laid by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan on August 14, 2018.
After 4 years of hard work day and night, the beautiful building of “Pakistan Medical Center” came to light which is present in the premises of Pakistan Association Dubai and also gives a sense of presence of Pakistan and Pakistanis abroad. Officials of Pakistan Association Dubai and eminent personalities of Pakistan including Anwar Maqsoor, Bushra Ansari and cricketer Shahid Afridi and many others participated in the completion of the project.
Dr. Faisal Ikram, President, Pakistan Association Dubai and Hassan Al-Nabane, General Secretary, Pakistan Medical Center, while providing information about Pakistan Medical Center, said that due to COVID-19, more people were not invited for the inauguration ceremony. The doors are open to the people of every country. Not only Pakistanis but people of every country can benefit from Pakistan Medical Center. Both the officials said that Pakistanis have fully cooperated in the construction of PMC. Ninety percent of the money came from philanthropists and ten percent from philanthropists from other countries. Pakistan Medical Center is the first and largest GCC center to operate on a non-profit basis. Specialist doctors will offer their volunteer services at the center. The deserving people will be treated free of cost and will also be provided with necessary medicines.
The current management of the Pakistan Association Dubai is commendable in that it has done what it said it would do. The Pakistan Association turned the ancient ruins of Dubai into a beautiful building and, above all, established the Pakistan Medical Center, on which the entire administration deserves real congratulations. This great achievement of the Pakistan Association Dubai is being admired and appreciated by people of other nations. This is a great achievement of the Pakistan Association Dubai team which has raised the name of Pakistan in other nations and has created a soft image of Pakistan by building a free hospital. The Government of Pakistan should also issue a High Performance Award for PAD to encourage the Pakistan Association Dubai for its outstanding performance.
