Sweden's Swedish Academy of Nobel Prize, the world's most prestigious award, has announced that it will award the 2020 Nobel Prize in Literature to American poet Louis Guelk.
According to a statement issued by the Nobel Prize Committee, 77-year-old Louis Elizabeth Gulak is being awarded this year's Nobel Prize for her bold poetry.
The Nobel Committee, in recognition of Louis Guilk's literary services, wrote that the beauty of human existence was universal in his poetry, and he chose bold words.
Louis Gluck was born in 1943 in New York City, USA and spent most of his life in Massachusetts.
Louis Gulk also wrote books in English, German, Swedish and Spanish, and was successful in other genres of literature, including poetry.
His first English book was published in 1965 and a total of about 20 of his English books have been published, while his works have been translated into other languages.
Louis Elizabeth Gulk also wrote in Swedish, Spanish and German, and her European-language writings have been well-received.
Louis Gulak has received numerous international awards for his poetry and other literary services. He has also won European and American literary awards, including the US Government Award.
Earlier, the Nobel Prize in Literature Committee in 2018 did not award the Nobel Prize in Literature for sexual harassment, but in 2019, two Nobel Prizes were announced simultaneously.
The 2019 Nobel Prize for Literature went to Austrian novelist Peter Handke, 77, and the 2018 Nobel Prize went to Polish woman writer and novelist Olga Tokarzak, 58.
