No inquiry was closed against Khawaja Saad Rafique.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has clarified that the inquiry against PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has not been closed.

An explanatory statement issued by the NAB spokesperson said that no inquiry has been closed against Khawaja Saad Rafique, reports of closure of railway land lease inquiry are not correct, media should avoid speculation.

It may be recalled that earlier some TV channels had claimed quoting NAB sources that the inquiry into leasing railway land against Khawaja Saad Rafique had been closed. NAB sources claimed that Khawaja Saad Rafique was accused of illegally leasing land on Walton Road Lahore and UET for 33 years, but he leased the land to the highest bidder. That is why the inquiry against him has been closed.
