Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has termed the claim of former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif to make missiles through reverse engineering as false. According to the daily Jang, he said that when a missile thunders after being fired, it is not technically possible to bring it back to its original state by reverse engineering.
Software plays a key role in reverse engineering, missile functionality and accuracy, as well as the missile must be available in a completely unused state. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan said that all our missiles were made locally which was the result of an excellent teamwork.
I was the chief coordinator of the guided missile project in which the body of the missile and all the important parts were prepared by the late Dr. Ijaz Khokhar while the late Dr. Naseem Khan and Dr. Hashmi looked after its software matters.
