Mazar-e-Quaid desecration case: Court releases Capt (R) Safdar

The court granted bail to Captain (retd) Safdar, son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in the Mazar-e-Quaid desecration case and ordered his release.

The court ordered Capt (R) Safdar to submit a bond of Rs one lakh. However, after the time expired, the court ordered Captain Safdar's lawyers to deposit Rs 100,000 in cash instead of bail bonds.

Captain (retd) Safdar was produced in the city court today, where the judicial magistrate found severe disorder in the eastern court.

On this occasion, the lawyers of PTI and PML-N came face to face and chanted slogans against each other.

In the case registered against Captain (retd) Safdar Awan at Brigade Police Station, 200 unidentified persons including Maryam Nawaz have been named. The case was registered in the complaint of citizen Waqas.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that the officers who arrested Capt. (Retd) Safdar broke the door of the hotel room and came in. They were not even allowed to take medicine. It is a government action.

Maryam Nawaz said, "I know who is afraid of the slogan 'Respect the vote'. How did the threat of death come to so many people?"

PML-N vice president said that a case was registered against a fugitive from the court. Captain Safdar was already receiving threats that he would not be released. He is sitting here. If he has the courage, arrest him.

Maryam Nawaz said that Safdar and I would go from Karachi to Lahore
