PML-N says that there is no truth in the news of arrest of party vice president Maryam Nawaz, she has not been arrested.
PML-N leaders Talal Chaudhry and Maryam Aurangzeb have said in a statement that they have gone to the house of former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair from Maryam Nawaz Hotel in Karachi.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that false news of Maryam Nawaz's arrest was being spread and she would address a press conference at 3.30 pm.
On the other hand, Ahsan Zubair, son of former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair, has said in a statement that no raid was carried out on our house.
According to sources, Maryam Nawaz will attend an important meeting at Muhammad Zubair's house after which she will return to the hotel with the NLA leaders and hold a press conference.
It should be noted that Captain (retd) Safdar, husband of PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, has been arrested by the brigade police from a room of a local hotel.
Capt. (Retd) Safdar has been arrested in a case of violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. A case has been registered against 200 people including him in the complaint of citizen Waqas.
The lawsuit against Safdar includes death threats, damage to government property, and a violation of the Mazar-e-Quaid Act.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said in a statement on Twitter that the police broke down the door of my room in the hotel and arrested Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar.
