The Saudi government has warned the public that online education will continue in schools, colleges and universities.
In this regard, the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, said in a statement yesterday that the first academic semester will be online till the end and a royal decree of this decision has also been issued.
According to Saudi media, the beginning of the new academic year in Saudi Arabia was online, education in primary, middle and secondary schools, colleges and universities is taking place online.
The same process is going on in the institutes and centers of technology training. However, for practical, students have to attend colleges, institutes and centers.
Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh said that the Saudi leadership is committed to protecting students from the new Corona virus, so every stage of education is being conducted online.
The Education Minister said that after in-depth review of the corona virus situation across the country in recent weeks, the House has ordered that the remaining part of the first academic semester be kept online.
According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, the Minister of Education had said last week that schemes have been developed to improve the performance of students during online education. Students will be tested in some subjects to know the results of online education.
The Education Minister said that all social institutions should cooperate fully with the Ministry in the field of online education, keeping in mind the fact that the strategic path of the future lies in online education.
It has become necessary to modernize the online education system and introduce a culture of online education beyond events and crises. The present stage is a golden opportunity for change, we have to take advantage of it.
