Kuwait will hold parliamentary elections on December 5. The Kuwaiti parliament approved it in a meeting held yesterday.

According to the Kuwaiti news agency Kona, a draft resolution on the 16th parliamentary elections was tabled in the cabinet - urging voters to exercise their voting right to elect parliamentary candidates on Saturday, December 5, 2020. The Kuwaiti cabinet has approved it.

 According to RT, Kuwaiti government spokesman Tariq al-Muzarram said on Twitter that the cabinet had approved the December 5 parliamentary elections. The resolution will take effect after the approval of the Emir of Kuwait.

It should be noted that Article 83 of the Kuwaiti Constitution states that the term of parliament is four years. The date of the first meeting will be valid - four AD years will be valid.
