Kangana Ranaut ordered to appear at police station along with her sister

Police in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra, have summoned Bollywood panga 'Queen' Kangana Ranaut along with her sister Rangoli Chandel to appear at the police station to investigate a case of religious riots.

According to Indian broadcaster New Delhi Television (NDTV), the two sisters were summoned by Mumbai's Bandra police station.

Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel have been ordered to appear at the police station on October 26 and 27 in a summons issued by the police.

The two sisters have been instructed that they may appear before the dates mentioned in the summons, however, they must appear before the police station on both the dates.

Kangana Ranaut and her sister were sued by Bandra police on October 18 last week at the request of Munawar Ali Syed, a casting director and fitness trainer, on various charges, including inciting religious riots.

A man named Munawar Ali Syed had initially approached the Mumbai local court against the actress and her sister and the court had ordered the police to file a case and investigate.

The two sisters were charged with inciting religious riots, targeting different communities on the basis of language, color and race.

Petitioner Munawar Ali Syed had told the police and the court that tweets such as Kangana Ranaut and his sister were trying to incite riots on the basis of language, state, color, race and religion.

The petitioner told the police and the court that the two sisters were also making serious allegations against the Bollywood industry while Kangana Ranaut was trying to cause Hindu-Muslim riots.

Now, in the same case, the police have ordered the two sisters to appear at the police station and record their statement and it is being speculated that the two sisters will appear at the police station on the dates given by the police.

It is to be noted that Kangana Ranaut has been openly talking about the exploitation of women in the film industry, including issues like nepotism in Bollywood.

In addition, Kangana Ranaut has been talking about the use of drugs by Bollywood personalities, while in recent months she has also been seen making anti-Muslim tweets.
