Earlier on September 2, Johnny Depp had filed a petition in a US court seeking adjournment of the trial of his ex-wife for a few months.
Johnny Depp had said in a petition filed in Fairfax, Virginia, that he would travel to the United Kingdom to shoot his upcoming film on the same day as his trial. The hearing should be adjourned for now.
In his application, the actor had asked the court to adjourn the hearing of his compensation claim till May or June 2021.
Johnny Depp had said in the application that the shooting of his upcoming film Fantastic Beats 3 will start soon, due to which he will not be able to appear in the hearings.
It was thought that the court would approve his plea and adjourn the hearing, but the court rejected the actor's plea.
According to the showbiz website Deadline, a Fairfax court judge ordered Johnny Depp to appear in the damages case at all costs.
According to a statement issued by the court, the 2019 damages case filed by Johnny Depp will be heard on November 10-12, during which both parties must be present in court.
The court also ordered Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard, to be present in court with their lawyers from morning to evening, November 10-12.
It is expected that the court will settle the 5 50 million compensation lawsuit filed by Johnny Depp during the November 10-12 hearing, but it is too early to say.
The lawsuit was filed by Johnny Depp in March 2019 after his ex-wife, Amber Heard, wrote a false article in a newspaper.
Johnny Depp's ex-wife wrote an article in the Washington Post about domestic violence against women, the subject of domestic sexual harassment.
In her article, Amber Heard called on US government agencies to take more drastic measures to protect women from domestic violence, domestic sexual harassment and exploitation.
In the article, she clarified that she had been a victim of domestic sexual abuse, violence and harassment for a long time and despite being known, she could not speak openly on the issue.
The actress did not use the name of her ex-husband Johnny Depp in her article, but she was referring to him.
Criticism of Johnny Depp escalated after the article was published and his career was in jeopardy, after which he filed a lawsuit against Amber Heard in March 2019.
And now the hearing of the same case will continue from November 10 to 12, in which both the parties have been ordered to appear.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp formed a relationship in 2011 and were married in February 2015.
Fifteen months after the marriage began, Amber Heard filed for divorce in June 2016, accusing Johnny Depp of violence, and the two divorced in 2017.
