According to a private channel, Permanent Representative Munir Akram said in a general debate in the General Assembly that India has equipped the Indian Ocean with nuclear weapons by installing anti-ballistic missiles and has the capability to fire all types of missiles He said that Pakistan seeks peace and stability in order to achieve socio-economic development. He said that Pakistan is committed to these principles while avoiding responsibility and arms race. ۔
Pakistani envoy Munira Karam said that peace and stability in South Asia could not be achieved without resolving the fundamental issue of Jammu and Kashmir, agreeing on retaliatory measures for the development of missiles and nuclear weapons and striking a balance between conventional forces.
