With each passing day, the weight of the Azerbaijani army is getting heavier. The President of Azerbaijan has declared his country's great victory. Ilham Aliyev said his country's army had liberated eight more villages from the occupying forces. After the announcement, the Azerbaijani president raised the slogan, "Long live the Azerbaijani forces, Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan."
In addition to this victory, after the attack on the urban areas of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani army also invaded the territory of Armenia and targeted military installations.

The military installations that were targeting the urban areas of Azerbaijan have been destroyed. Armenia has also confirmed the invasion of Azerbaijan and the heavy damage it caused. It is reported that fierce clashes took place yesterday as well and 45 Armenian-backed soldiers were killed in the battle against the Azerbaijani army in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Fighting in the area since September 27 has so far killed 525 soldiers. In addition, 25 civilians have been killed and more than 100 wounded in the fighting. The Qarabagh regional army has the support of the Armenian Armed Forces. The Nagorno-Karabakh region belongs to Azerbaijan under international law, while Armenia claims it as its territory due to the majority of its ethnic Armenians living there.
It has a population of 1.5 million. For the first time since the 1990s, bloody clashes are taking place between this Armenian-autonomous region and Azerbaijani forces, firing artillery shells at each other's positions. Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at loggerheads over the region since the 1990s, following the collapse of the former Soviet Union in 1991.
A ceasefire agreement was reached between the two countries in 1994, but in April 2016, fighting broke out again in Qarabagh. The international community still considers the disputed territory part of Azerbaijan. Nagorno-Karabakh, located on the Caucasus Mountains (Caucasus), covers an area of 4400 square kilometers. It is located 50 kilometers from the Armenian border.
