TOKYO: A brutal killer known as "Twitter Killer" has pleaded guilty in court to killing nine people between the ages of 15 and 26.
According to the World News Agency, Takahiro Shirisi, 39, of Japan, chose to kill nine teenagers between the ages of 15 and 26 who took to Twitter to commit suicide and killed them in various ways.
The youths killed by Takahiro Sherisi include girls who were allegedly raped by the accused before he was killed. However, the accused's lawyers demanded that the charges against the accused be reduced as the victims committed suicide. Thoughts were coming and he had also agreed to kill himself.
Accused Takahiro Sherishi, on the other hand, argued in court that he actually helped the victims sincerely and that he could even die with them because they were all very sad and considered death to be the solution to all their problems.
The arrest of the accused took place in a dramatic manner after the disappearance of a 23-year-old girl, who wrote a suicide note on Twitter. When the girl's Twitter account was checked, her brother found a suspicious Twitter handle and based on this, the police arrested him. The accused was arrested.
The convict could face the death penalty if convicted of murder, but his lawyers want the murder charge to be called consensual murder, which carries a six-month to seven-year sentence in Japan.
