Cricketer Nasir Jamshed, who was convicted of spot-fixing, is likely to be deported from England. Nasir Jamshed is currently in jail in England. He was arrested by the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL). Nasir Jamshed was sentenced by the anti-corruption tribunal to 10 years in prison for his involvement in match-fixing.

According to a well-known cricket website, Nasir Jamshed will apply for bail on October 21 and if granted bail, he is likely to be deported from England.

On the other hand, Nasir Jamshed's wife says that she has not received any information from the Home Office or Predan Services so she cannot comment on it.

The National Crime Agency had arrested Nasir Jamshed on charges of spot-fixing after an investigation. Nasir Jamshed and his associates tried to spot-fix during the Bangladesh Premier League 2016 and PSL 2017. The batsman was fined during the BPL. In return, it was agreed not to score runs on the first two balls of the over.

In 2016, Nasir Jamshed told an undercover official that six BPL players were working for him and that 30 30,000 per match was distributed among the players.

Nasir Jamshed initially admitted in court after denying bribery in the PSL, which was banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board last year for 10 years.
