During the Corona Lockdown, some people from Pakistan and other ethnic minorities are suffering from severe mental health problems and are suffering from various mental illnesses. According to research from the University of Glasgow, people in South Asia have a 23% increase in stress during the Corona Lockdown, compared to just 6.5% for whites.
Leading Pakistani-British Dr Syed Anjum Gardezi told Daily Pakistan that the corona virus has increased stress in all sections of society but is significantly higher among Asians and a few other ethnic minorities. These people are more susceptible to the corona virus and are therefore more concerned about the virus and their own health. Understandably, the same behavior applies to their friends, so they accept a lot of influence from such matters. Socially, they spend more time with family and friends, while Corona's restrictions keep them locked in their homes, and financially have a negative impact on their situation.
