Social media star Janat Mirza has reacted to the ban on Tik Tok in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) today (Friday) banned the video sharing app Tik Tok due to public complaints.
Janat Mirza, who rose to fame with Tik Tok, in a statement suggested that Tik Tok should continue with strict rules and regulations.
"Tik Tok is a good public app, accessible to everyone," he said.
Janat Mirza further said that many people showed their talent through this app, Tik Tok is also a source of employment for many people.
He acknowledged that the video was used for "sharing" as well as for spreading "hate speech".
He suggested that I think this app should be allowed to continue with strict rules and regulations.
The ban on Tik Tok in Pakistan has provoked mixed reactions of joy and anger, with some praising the ban and others talking about its usefulness.
