Former chairman PEMRA Absar Alam has clarified the allegation of an envelope journalist after a picture with Maryam Nawaz came to light and said that he had said goodbye to Med Ya 5 years ago.
On the micro-blogging website Twitter, Absar Alam shared a photo in which he is also present with Maryam Zubair and Captain Safdar in Maryam Nawaz's car heading towards Gujranwala.

After seeing this picture, social media or users accused him of being an envelope journalist. In response, he said, "I quit journalism five years ago after a good career of 27 years. I don't stop myself in this media." Whoever has lost his freedom, my heart beats for Pakistan and honest med ya, no one can break this relationship.
