Police in India have arrested a man accused of kidnapping a businessman who turned out to be a fake police officer.
According to details, in Mumbai, an accused named Shyam Sundar, pretending to be an IPS officer, kidnapped a Gujarat businessman from a five-star hotel at Charj Gate.
The abducted businessman from Gujarat had come to the area for some work and was staying in the said hotel. The accused went to the residence of the abducted businessman in Gujarat and received a ransom of lakhs of rupees from his family.
Upon receiving the information, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused. After investigation, it was found out that the accused had earlier committed an incident in Madhya Pradesh.
