A lawsuit has been filed in the US capital, Washington, against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashkiji, who was killed at the Saudi consulate in Turkey.
The lawsuit was filed by Khadija Genghis, the fiance of the slain journalist, who is a U.S. citizen and has filed a lawsuit against the Saudi Crown Prince. The woman claimed that she had suffered heavy financial losses after the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi.
The compensation claim further states that the motive for the assassination of Jamal Khashkji was clear and unequivocal that it was intended to deter him from fighting for democratic reform in the Arab world.
According to the BBC, Jamal Khashoggi's fiance said that Jamal believed that everything was possible in the United States, I trusted the US judicial system and hoped that I would be given justice.
