The United States completed the first 1 million cases in 72 days. On June 7, the number of cases reached 2 million, while it took 41 days in the United States to reach 1 million to 2 million cases.
Similarly, on July 5, the number of cases in the United States reached 3 million. It took 28 days to reach 2 million to 3 million cases. On July 21, the number of cases exceeded 4 million. It took 16 days to reach 3 million to 40 cases.
On August 5, the United States crossed the 5 million mark. It took 15 days for the United States to reach 4 to 5 million cases. On August 26, the number of cases exceeded six million. It took the United States 21 days to reach 5 to 6 million cases.
On September 19, the number of cases reached 7 million. It took 24 days to reach six to seven million cases. On October 11, the cases crossed the 8 million mark. The United States handled 7 to 8 million cases in 22 days. On October 28, the number of cases exceeded 9 million. The last 1 million cases were reported in just 17 days
