5 Indian spies released

 

Pakistan has released five Indian spies who were serving their sentences and sent them back to India.

According to private TV, the Indian High Commission had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking the release of its convicts convicted by a military court, in which it was stated that three Indian convicts lodged in Lahore Jail and Karachi Jail A convict has been convicted for espionage and terrorist activities in Pakistan, Indian prisoners in jail have completed their sentence, there is no legal reason for them to remain in jail, keeping prisoners in jail after serving their sentence is unconstitutional It is a violation of the rights given under Pakistan. The prisoners should be released and sent back to India.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has heard petitions seeking release of eight Indian nationals involved in terrorism and espionage. The petitions seeking release of eight Indian nationals were heard by Chief Justice Atharmanullah. Submitted to the court, Deputy Attorney General Tayyab Shah told the court that five Indian prisoners were released on October 26, 2020 on completion of their sentences.

A lawyer for the Indian High Commission said that three more citizens are still in jail despite serving their sentences. One Indian citizen did not want to return despite serving his sentence but was deported. Deputy Attorney General Tayyab Shah replied. Let me tell you about 3 more Indian prisoners. Chief Justice Athar Minallah asked, "How can you keep them longer when the sentence is completed?" Deputy Attorney General Tayyab Shah replied that the case of some prisoners was with the review board. The court remarked that when the sentence was completed, where did the review board come from? If they have completed their sentence, send them back.

The court disposed of a petition seeking the release of four Indian nationals. Further hearing of the case was adjourned till November 5.
