Special Minister Usman Dar said that Rs. 100 billion has been allocated for providing business to the youth.
This was stated by Special Assistant Usman Dar while briefing on the provision of loans under the Successful Youth Program at a review meeting on successful youth program chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.
He said that so far 470,000 applications have been received and loans are being provided after timely scrutiny of applications.
Usman Dar says that under the scheme, educated youth are applying to banks, participating in 21 bank schemes across the country.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the transparency and procedures of the program.
The meeting decided to set up a steering committee under the chairmanship of Deputy Governor SBP.
Apart from Special Assistant Usman Dar, the meeting was also attended by Finance Advisor Hafeez Sheikh, Trade Adviser Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Governor State Bank, Presidents and Heads of Banks across the country.
