Leading Hollywood actor Tom Cruise had made arrangements with the US space agency NASA to shoot a film in space and now the final date for his spaceflight has also come to light.
The space shuttle Almanac, a space mission information company, shared a chart on the social networking site.
The chart shows that in October 2021, Tom Cruise and well-known director Doug Lyman will go into space along with Lopez Algaria, a pilot of a company called SpaceX.
In this chart, another person's seat is empty with him to go into space, however, no name has appeared on it.
So its confirmed that @CommanderMLA is flying the @Axiom_Space @SpaceX #CrewDragon tourist mission with Director @DougLiman & Tom Cruise. One seat still to be filled. They are to launch in October, 2021. pic.twitter.com/dn6SLvCOGz

It may be recalled that in May this year, it was reported that Tom Cruise would go to space to shoot the film. Alan Musk, head of auto company Tesla and rocket company SpaceX, will also be involved in the project, a US newspaper said.
NASA Administrator Jim Brydenstein tweeted on the social networking site Twitter that NASA was excited to shoot a film with Tom Cruise on the International Space Station (Space Station).
He said that through such a popular medium, a new generation of engineers and scientists would be inspired to turn NASA's projects into reality.
