Speaking on a private TV News program, Mehr Bukhari said that PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair had met the Army Chief on August 26. He did not go directly from Karachi to Islamabad but first came to Lahore and met here. Elaborating further, he said that Muhammad Zubair held a meeting in Raiwind after which he went to Rawalpindi.
According to Mehr Bukhari, Muhammad Zubair had a 3 to 4 hour long meeting with the Army Chief and they also had dinner together. Muhammad Zubair conveyed Maryam Nawaz's message to the Army Chief and said "Maryam says there is no fight with you, you are defending your father."
