A criminal court in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, has sentenced the leader of a child abduction gang to death.
The woman abducted three infants in the popular eastern city of Dammam three decades ago. A Yemeni kidnapper has been sentenced by a court to 25 years in prison.
According to Al Arabiya Net, the public prosecution had demanded the punishment of Hadd al-Haraba against the first, second and third accused.

A spokesman for the public prosecution said in a statement that the Dammam kidnapper had applied for the identification documents of her two children in custody, saying she had found them unaccompanied more than 20 years earlier. He does not know whose children they are.
Public Prosecutor Sheikh Saud Al-Mujabib had directed the concerned agencies to find out the facts after receiving the report of the incident. Several agencies had worked together in this regard.
The DNA report revealed that the alleged children had nothing to do with the accused woman, while the children from Saudi families who had reported child abductions two decades ago had been identified.
A spokesman for the public prosecution also said in a statement that the investigation team had held 40 meetings with 21 accused and witnesses. 247 court proceedings were conducted in this regard. In the end, five people were indicted - one of whom fled the country. The public prosecution has asked Interpol to bring him back to the country.

The woman conspired with the second and fourth accused to make false statements in front of government agencies. He is also accused of witchcraft, depriving children of education, national identity, civil and private rights and misleading the Board of Investigation.
A spokesman for the Public Prosecution said that the second accused was also a Saudi citizen. Allegations such as covering up the crime were made.
The third suspect is from Yemen. He is accused of being a party to the abduction of the third child. The second allegation is that he covered up the crime of kidnapping Rakhatoon and what he did to the children. He was also held responsible for the damage.
The fourth suspect is Saudi. He has been charged with making false statements about the birth of children, participating in the false genealogy of children and harming them financially and mentally. The fifth suspect is also a Saudi citizen and has fled the kingdom. He is accused of misrepresentation.
