In the US state of Kentucky, the mother of 38-year-old Rebecca Hoover filed a report of her disappearance on August 2, when police were playing Tom Toy in the dark when her young son suddenly told the story of the horrific incident.

One of Rebecca's three sons told his school counselor that he had seen his father abusing his mother in the basement one day.

The elementary school child said that the father hit his mother several times on the head with his strong shoes, then hit her in the face with a bunch of keys, after which the mother became numb.

The school's counselor immediately reported the matter to police, who arrived at the child's home and arrested his father, 50-year-old Judson Hoover. There were blood-stained marks on the basement steps of the house, but solid evidence was provided. In his absence, the police released him.

That same night, Judson arrived at a storage unit and found a 55-gallon container moving around. Police saw his move through CCTV footage.

Further investigation revealed that on August 3, a day after Rebecca's disappearance, Judson arrived with something that looked like a corpse.

Police soon recovered Rebecca's body, after which the accused husband was arrested. The accused has been charged with murder.

Police say the accused had been involved in domestic violence before. In April of the same year, he severely beat his wife when a child ran away and hid in a neighbour's house, and the neighbor reported the matter to police. ۔
