Pakistan defeated England in the third T20


Pakistan cricket team got its first victory on the tour of England. In the third T20, Green Shirts defeated England by 5 runs and ended the series 1-1.

Mohammad Hafeez's 86 and Haider Ali's 54 helped Pakistan set a target of 191 for victory.

England did not start well in pursuit of the goal. The first wicket fell on Johnny Barstow's 1 run which was bowled by Koshaheen Shah Afridi. The second wicket fell on David Milan's total of 26 which was taken by Emad Wasim.

Moin Ali top-scored for England with 61 runs. Opener Tom Benton also stood out with 46 runs.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wahab Riaz took 2.2 wickets each. Emad Wasim and Haris Rauf also took one wicket each.

Earlier, England captain Anne Morgan won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Fakhr Zaman, the left-arm opening batsman of the national team, was bowled by Moin Ali after scoring a run, after which debutant Haider Ali sided with captain Babar Azam. The captain was also dismissed for 21 off 32 balls.

Later, veteran Muhammad Hafeez maintained his form and played an unbeaten innings of 86 runs which included 4 fours and 6 sixes.

Haider Ali, who made his debut in this match, scored 54 runs. His innings included 2 sixes and 5 fours.

Pakistan scored 190 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For England, Chris Jordan got two wickets while Tom Curran and Moin Ali got one wicket each.

In the third T20 match, Pakistan replaced Wahab Riaz, Haider Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed with Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Amir and Iftikhar Ahmed.
