Opposition APC, 26-point resolution passed

A 26-point resolution has been passed in the All Parties Conference of Opposition Parties (APC).

The text of the resolution passed by the opposition parties said that the alliance of national political parties believing in the constitution and the federal parliamentary system has been formed under the name of "Pakistan Democratic Alliance" to get rid of the poor enemy government. It will run the nationwide protest movement in an organized and coordinated manner.

The resolution termed the interference of the Establishment in politics as a threat to national security and demanded that it be stopped. The country has also called for new elections and reduction in commodity prices without the intervention of the military and agencies.

The APC rejected the intentions of the presidential system and blamed the government for the "fall of Kashmir". The meeting also called for lifting the worst restrictions on media in history and dismissing cases against journalists.

The National Action Plan, C-Pack, 18th Amendment, supremacy of Parliament, restoration of local bodies, cuts in higher education budget, Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan, restoration of civil authority in place of FC are also part of the resolution.

According to the resolution, the meeting calls for the formation of a Truth Commission to document the true history of Pakistan from 1947 to date. The meeting decided that a committee would be formed to formulate a "Charter of Pakistan" which would be tasked to formulate a concrete strategy covering the problems facing Pakistan, including the guidelines of the Founder of Pakistan and the 1973 Constitution. In light of this, a clear direction should be set for Pakistan as a modern Islamic democratic welfare state.
