Police in the Saharanpur area of India have arrested four people who used to rob people of their homes by tricking them into extracting gold.
According to details, four persons were arrested in Kotwali area of Saharanpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on charges of defrauding people used to run away.
According to the local police, money was also recovered from the arrested accused. The accused have been involved in various types of crimes.
Police said the suspects were arrested during an incident in the village of Nazerpur in the Kotwali area. Gold is buried in the ground of his house, for which worship will have to be performed and nine pits will be dug.
The accused asked the villagers to first offer black cloth, mustard oil, coconut and Rs. 521 on the tomb of Nogze Pir.
According to the police, the accused took out some kind of metal from a pit and showed it to Phol Singh, who became suspicious, after which he caught them and informed the police.
It was learned that the accused had smeared the chocolate with glitter and called it gold, however, their plan was foiled and they were arrested.
