The Saudi Ministry of Health has issued a government permit for all citizens living in the kingdom to go abroad for medical treatment.
According to the Saudi news agency, the Ministry of Health has said that the treatment permit will be issued at its own expense with conditions.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement that a letter of treatment has to be submitted from a specialist center or hospital in a developed country in the field of medicine.
If the disease is not treated at home and can be treated abroad. In this regard, a certified medical report of the Ministry of Health has to be submitted.
Candidates seeking treatment abroad must be suffering from a disease for which the High Medical Authority recommends treatment outside the country.
Permission for treatment abroad at the government's expense will also be granted upon fulfillment of conditions. The first condition is that a royal decree be issued or the High Medical Authority decides on treatment abroad.
According to the conditions, a maximum of two people will be able to travel with those who will get the approval of treatment abroad.
The Ministry of Health says applications for permits for treatment abroad will be received online. The Ministry of Health will first consider them. Once the conditions are met, they will be sent online to the Passport Department for necessary action.
