North Korean leader apologizes to South Korea

 

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has apologized to South Korea for the death of a fisherman.

According to international media reports, Kim Jong Un sent an official letter to the South Korean president apologizing for the tragic incident.

The message said Kim Jong Un apologized for the killing of a South Korean fishing official by North Korean guards.

A few days ago, the boat of a South Korean fishing official was found 10 kilometers away in North Korean waters and was fired upon by North Korean officials in the disputed area.

At least ten bullets hit the fisherman and the body was later cremated. The South Korean president was under intense political pressure over the incident and was widely criticized for failing to respond.
