In Saudi Arabia, husband and wife cannot check each other's mobile phones. According to details, Saudi lawyer Nayef Al Mansi has said that it is a crime to check the wife's mobile phone. No husband is allowed to do that. The law makes it a crime to do so.
According to Jang, Al-Mansi clarified that Section 3 of the Information Crimes Act states that it is a crime for a husband or wife to check anyone's mobile phone. Checking computer sets and smart devices is prohibited and is considered a crime by law.
Talking to a TV program, the Saudi lawyer said that if a husband checks his wife's mobile phone and the allegation against him is proved, he will be sentenced to one year imprisonment and a fine of 500,000 riyals.
