A local court in Karachi has issued a written verdict on a petition seeking exhumation and post-mortem in the Dr Maha case.
The court order said that the court has no objection to the exhumation, the court cannot interfere in the investigation, so the prosecution should take action in accordance with the law.

The court order further said that Dr Maha's exhumation and postmortem should be done in accordance with the law.
It may be recalled that on August 19, the body of Lady Dr. Maha Shah from Defense area of Karachi was found at his house on which the police had expressed suspicion that Dr. Maha had committed suicide by shooting himself.
Police said that the female doctor was living with her father, mother, 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. The doctor had an argument with her father and she went to the bathroom and committed suicide.
However, during the investigation of the case, the police on August 26 registered a case against Maha Shah's father in which three accused have been named, including a well-known dentist, Junaid's friend Junaid and one accused Waqas.
The Medico-Legal Officer (MLO) of Jinnah Hospital also said that the bullet was fired from the reverse side of Dr Maha's convoy. Proving wrong.
If Dr. Maha was a right-hander, she could not have fired with the other hand, and SSP South and the victim's father have confirmed that Maha was a right-hander in a conversation with Geo News.
Junaid, a friend of Dr Mahaka and the accused in the case, has also expressed fears of his murder.
