Attack on Saudi Arabia

The Arab military alliance thwarted two air and naval strikes on Saudi Arabia. According to a foreign news agency, one attack took place at the airport in the Saudi city of Abha.

Yemen's Houthi rebels tried to target Abha airport with an explosive-laden drone, but the Arab military coalition took timely action and destroyed the drone in mid-air.

Some of the crashed drones also crashed at Abha airport, but no casualties were reported. Despite the incident, flights at the airport were not disrupted and continued as usual. Col. Turki al-Mali, spokesman for the Arab Military Coalition, said the coalition had also thwarted an Houthi rebel bombing.

Colonel Turki al-Mali said the Houthi rebels tried to strike in the south of the Red Sea using a remote-controlled drone boat, but took immediate action and destroyed the boat before it could reach its target. According to him, the ship was also a threat to regional and international security and the global trade of ships.

It should be noted that the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have seized control of the Yemeni government and the Saudi-led Arab military coalition is conducting military operations against the Houthi rebels.
