Assassination of Qasim Soleimani: Iranian commander threatens revenge on US

The commander-in-chief of Iran's Revolutionary Guards has vowed to avenge the assassination of Iranian General Qasim Soleimani in January.

According to Reuters, Major General Hussein Salami, in his address directly to US President Donald Trump, said that we will definitely avenge the assassination of our great general, we are serious and it will happen in reality.

"We will target all those who were directly or indirectly involved in the martyrdom of our great man,".

Qasim Soleimani, considered the second most powerful man in Iran, was killed in a US drone strike in Baghdad, along with a senior Iranian commander and other Revolutionary Guards commanders.

Following the attack, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei announced strong retaliation, and since then Iranian officials have been repeating the same promise.

A few days after the death of the Iranian commander, Iran fired more than a dozen rockets at US military bases in Iraq, injuring several soldiers.

Contrary to Salami's claim, no American soldier was killed in the Iranian attack, but more than 100 American soldiers suffered mental injuries.

However he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat President Conte's government.

The Revolutionary Guards commander's statement came as the American news agency Politico quoted unnamed sources as saying that Iran had assassinated Lana Marx, the US ambassador to South Africa, in retaliation for the assassination of Qasim Soleimani. Is planning

US President Donald Trump warned in a statement this week that if Iran tried to avenge the assassination of its general, the United States would retaliate and if they targeted us in any way, we would retaliate. Will hit with a thousand times more force.

In response to the American news, the head of the Revolutionary Guards said that it was not possible to target Lana Marx because it was not a suitable target to avenge the assassination of Soleimani.

"Do you think we will target a female ambassador to avenge the murder of our martyred brother?"

It should be noted that relations between Iran and the United States have been in a constant state of tension since the unilateral termination of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) by Donald Trump.

Iran has imposed tough sanctions on the United States and wants to impose UN sanctions on a unilateral basis, renewing the traditional arms embargo.
