Amnesty International's European Office has called on the European leadership to take a stand, not to remain silent.
The demand was made by the European Office of Amnesty International to the European leadership in the wake of the Amnesty India's office closure in order to highlight the human rights situation in India.
Addressing European Commission President Arsala Vander Lane, European Council President Charles Michel, European Foreign Minister Giuseppe Borrell and the EU Mission in India The European Union has long been out of action.
He said that as human rights organizations in India were under attack. Amnesty India is now halting its work after two years of continuous crackdowns and complete freezing of its bank accounts, with the message saying, "It's time to take a stand."
